I Am At Fault
It wasn't my fault but it never felt that way.
I miss her smile and warm laugh.
I miss the world that smelled like warm metal and her every day.
It wasn't my fault but I am to blame.
My hands that lit the fire.
And she was killed by my flame.
It wasn't my fault but I bear the guilt.
The memory of her love,
Her hand guiding mine on the hilt.
It wasn't my fault but does it matter
who's it is now that she's dead?
My world is still shattered.
It wasn't my fault that I killed my other half.
So I fool my friends
And cover my pain with a laugh.
It wasn't my fault, but it was and I'm responsible for her death.
Though not mine alone and I will take revenge.
An oath to keep with final breath.
