I am fighting to be an individual.
I am a fighter.
I fight with all my might.
Always have and always will.
Since day one I have had to fight.
Being a premie,
and the youngest daughter.
I've had to fight.
Making good grades,
to being an athlete.
I've had to fight.
Not for attention,
but to be seen as an individual.
I am not a number,
a time,
a grade,
or my sister.
I am an individual.
I breathe oxygen,
have a beating heart,
and a functioning brain.
I have an opinion,
feelings,
and ideas of my own.
I fight to be an individual.
I am smart.
I am loud.
I am goofy.
I am kind.
I am strong-willed.
I am stubborn.
I am opinionated.
I am a fighter.
