I Am A Fireplace

I Am a Fireplace

I am a fireplace camouflaged, blending in with my surroundings.

Though demanding the attention from all those in the room when I light up.

I surround those around me with only warmth, love and comfort.

And can easily add class and quality to every setting.

I am a fireplace.

I go about quietly yet call out for the attention of everyone in the room.

Enticing my audience with my beauty and grace.

I bring poise and elegance to a room of slum and degenerate onlookers.

Craving the attention and praise bestowed upon me.

I am a fireplace.

Though there are times I feel my flame burning out.

And I feel myself  fighting to keep the attention of my audience.

Struggling to stay relevant to a room full of people I feel are forgetting about me.

Forgetting my beauty, artistry, and warmth I'm supplying them with

I am a fireplace.
