I Am a Flawed Soul Locked in a Flawed Skin

Location

I am a flawed soul locked in a flawed skin.

Am I to complain, though my life is not

Flawless?  Am I to disregard my life

Because my skin is a… ripe tomato

I cannot eat?  At times I would like to

Choose that.  Selfish, broken, fault always mine.

To love my flawed soul would be sin, but to

Be unaware of my choice would be worse

So I choose to go and love myself first

I love this flawed soul locked in this flawed skin

Will-power strong to pass onto my kin

Always sweet fruit to grow from my small tree

Be perfect or no, I’m me, and I’ll always be

Flawless
