I am Flawless.
We are taught in this world we will get no where if we don't try
But the ridicule we get is so quick to make us cry.
We want the best for ourselves but it seems to only be a wish.
Then when we get what we worked for we're told we are selfish.
I wake up every day and paint a smile on my face
Hoping today is the last before I feel God's grace.
I try so hard to get where I want to be
But in this society you can't make anyone happy.
What can we do to change this world we live in.
Maybe just embrace it all and just to give in.
Today I realized I'm not close to perfect.
But that doesn't mean I deserve less respect.
I'm going to be who I please, with my curly brown hair
And every day be glad I get to wake up to clean air.
My hair may not be perfect, and my make up doesn't exist
But tomorrow when I wake up I know I won't be able to resist
To say in the mirror to myself that I'm flawless
And through everything I've been through and all the stress
I'm just going to keep telling myself that I'm the best.
