I am Flawless

Flawless has been known to be, merely free of defects,

But if I look down deep inside, they are locked away inside my head.

Inside my head I'm sure to find, few mistakes and many sins,

And when those mistakes flood my mind, I no longer have the chance to win.

Because in a fight against yourself, you will lose it every time,

I'm setting myself up to fail, and will slowly lose my mind.

Forget about the glam and beauty, only look at yourself,

Only then is when you will see, people glancing from right and left.

My inner-self outweighs the bad, when looking at the heart,

I care too much about others, that's been my problem from the start.

Why put yourself before others, when you know others need your help,

Stop to take a minute, and think about yourself.

I like to sing and dance, and read when I can,

I even like to cook new foods, with stainless pots and pans.

I do my homework on the weekdays, and housework the other two,

I sometimes see my friends around, but rarely get to do.

I value my education, I put that at the top,

But when I have a free weekend, I shop until I drop.

I love to dribble, pass and shoot,

I'm sure you've guess it, I play hoops.

Basketball, though hard at first, is my way of life,

With my team and my coach, us girls have a lot of fight.

Along with fight, I do show compassion,

I volunteer my hours, and offer my love for fashion.

I do what I can do, if I know I can help,

I know if the roles were reversed, I'd need someone myself.

I may not be gorgeous, or a jaw-dropping babe,

But I know I am an intelligent student, and I get straight A grades.

I may not have money to buy what I desire,

But I know if I applied for a job, I'd be the one you would hire.

I may not dress in the name brand clothes, or where the fancy shoes,

But I can promise when you get stuck, I will help you through.

I can lend a hand, along with a few words I've learned,

Maybe even offer my friendship, hoping for yours in return.

I may not be the flawless type, although I will try,

But I will write to you and hope, you will consider me just this time.

Flawless has been known to be, merely free of defects,

And now looking at myself, I am flawless inside my head.
