I Am FORREST

I AM Forrest

A DIFFERENT girl whom everyone appreciates being in their life

Her beautiful mother with thick brown locks,

Her strong father who catches me in his arms to express his love,

Her completely opposite brothers that spoil me all of the time,

Her grandmother who calls everyday to make sure her baby is safe,

AND all of her friends who support her with everything

I am the long voyage to happiness where the ranch will be awaiting

That section of the path to the farm where the trees stand low and stretch their branches forming a cool dark shade,

Her pony giving her a hard time in the field because he knows it is time to ride,

His thick maine continuing to get tangled but is always BEAUTIFUL,

That big barn that SHELTERs her when the rain falls heavy LIKE rocks,

The crickets at night that chirp so synchronized,

And

I am the open pasture of which she sores on horse back,

That lovely beach with sand so tempting she wants to bury herself in it,

The crowded shopping mall on ANY weekday evening,

Those soft pillows and WARM sheets on a winter night,

The swimming pool splashing around with her cousins,

The cold, dark movie theater cramp close to him, just before the killer makes his move

I am a long roller coaster ride down a steep hill,

On the couch when the lights are turned off and the characters appear to be directly in front of her goggles,

The soothing, and RELAXING journey out of town to visit my relatives,

Hearing Mariah Carey's sweet voice as we sing every song together,

The sweat dripping down my forehead while the lights shine on me as I steal the show,

AND Needles piercing her skin leaving a hole with a bar through it

I am that extremely EXCITED young girl receiving college acceptance letters

A freshman in college as lost as can be searching for her classes,

That graduate walking slowly across the stage to receive her "PHD",

That obstetrician and gynecologist who everyone wants to deliver their baby,

The best mother a child could wish for,

That cremated body on its voyage to be recycled into earth as nourishment to those still LIVING

I am FORREST
