I am Free

Who

Am

I?

I am not an idea

I am not who you want me to be

I am that girl you walk by and think –                                                                                                                                                                      Damn she’s weird

But her words, style, and attitude makes you think

Who is she?

Ask me who I am and I’ll tell you.

I’m the girl you better not mess with

I’m the girl who’s been through so much shit

I will no longer take anybody’s shit.

I am the girl who was sexually assaulted

I am the girl for who was constantly taunted

I am the girl who was depressed and nothing more than

To

 end

this

life

But now I am the girl who has learned from her past

I am the girl who is determined to make her words last.

Ask me who you are and I’ll show you

Through my devotion and warmth I will grow you.

To have lived though something and not have learned

Is the biggest cause of one’s yearn.

Trust me when I say

I will yearn no more

Through my skin happiness will pour

Ask me who I am and I’ll tell you

I

Am
