I am growing through the years

It’s day 1
First grade had just begun
I’ve met new friends
And that begins the trend.

Fast forward 5th grade
Colonial Days and Orphan Play
We’ve gotten pretty big
But still act like little pigs.

I look out to this pond reminiscing
Thinking of the times I spent with you
It’s hard to realize that it’s been 8 years
And all of a sudden, it’ll be through!

I see memories unravel
Images in my head travel
Some were lost, some were gained
Now it’s the class of 2012 remained.

Then 6th grade arrived
Traveling around the world
7th grade, a new crusade
Parties in middle school, we never ever felt this cool

Finally we got to grade 8
Never felt more Ape
Yet we begin to separate
I am trying to stay brave
The days slipped by
The ones I thought I would die
Now I regret not embracing those moments
I hope I won’t fret!
I look out to this pond reminiscing
Thinking of the times I spent with you
It’s hard to realize that it’s been 8 years
And all of a sudden, it’ll be through!

I see memories unravel
Images in my head travel
Some were lost, some were gained
Now it’s the class of 2012 remained.

I pray you won’t forget me
Let’s hang out or maybe I’ll call thee
Don’t make it end here
Or I might just burst into tears….

I look out to this pond reminiscing
Thinking of the times I spent with you
It’s hard to realize that it’s been 8 years
And all of a sudden, it’ll be through!

I see memories unravel
Images in my head travel
Some were lost, some were gained
Now it’s the class of 2012 remained…
