I am Here

Everyday is the same

Every hour I hear

my thoughts jumbling

Bumbling

Trying to keep me awake

In the dull world

of black and white.

In the darkness

I close my eyes

and listen

slowly

for a sign

a guide

a light

someone to save me

as I fade.

I can't hear

the sounds tonight

Just my own thoughts

echoing in my mind

I'm strong

I'm broken

I am a survivor

I am a fighter

I am here.

In this world of darkness

and despair

I am here.
