I Am Here
Huddled in a circle
Flooding the kitchen floor
White knuckle grasps
The loudest sorrow echos
Dear, family
Why must you mourn so
Mother, mother
Weeping loudest
Weeping hardest
Why does your frown hold such greif
Why mother
You have all these blessing
Don't you see me
Father, father
We knew you were strong
But you have cracked your hard shell
And just saved this softness for me
We thought you must be stone
But all we see is an ocean
Don't you hear me
Brother, brother
Oh all the times at war
Finally as we rest
The peace settles between us
You always took much
But then again you gave more
Offering your gesture of tears
Was the best and worst thing
Don't you know me
Sister, sister
Hush
Hush
Let me whistle a lullaby
Cry no more
Oh sister
I'm right hear at your side
Don't you feel me
Dear, family
I lay right about your heads
Please don't cry
Tear don't mend a broken hearts
Only love
See, hear, know, and feel me
And my love
Dearest Family
I am here
