I am him
There’s only one way I can understand him
I write through his eyes
I move the pen so eloquently along his movement
We’re the same person after all.
Tell me I’m wrong,
Tell me he’s not like that
You don’t know.
You don’t know the gears that turn when he’s asked to face a problem
Our minds have collided
We’ve become one.
There’s no correcting these words
I know him
I am him
And he is me
He’s my person
Poetry taught me to be him
Poetry has introduced me to an interdimensional universe
Where I am him and he is me
I know how he feels when he sees a puppy
I know how he heals when he gets broken
I protect him because I know his next move.
He’s my person, and nothing can take him away from me.
