I Am A Human
I am a human,
a walking sack of guts with too much emotion,
and a strong devotion
to things that don’t really matter.
I unknowingly make my life harder
by my hating the people I love.
And when I get stuck in the mud,
those people are always there to drag me out.
I am learner
who makes mistakes.
But from failure,
a lot I can take.
I go through phases
that change like the moon.
Did I forget to mention,
I eat too much food.
I complain,
go insane,
fight my trials,
but in the end,
I can always find my smile.
I am song
who has no tune.
To my parents,
I am a typhoon.
I wish I had more time,
to read, write, and fly a kite.
I want to sleep all day,
but at night I am ready to play
I have a lot of things to do and say
but I always end up hiding them away.
I seek to be different
like a fish going up a current.
But here I am now,
a human comparing myself to a fish,
so that you can understand
a little of who I am.
