I am a child, Of earth roasted in the sun. I am a child, Blended from copper and bronze, I am a child, Harmonized by eternal green and swelling rivers, Take a look- I am also human.

I have been reading Langston Hughes poems lately and his work inspired me to write this piece, a tribute to our mother, Africa.
