I Am that I Am. I am determined. I am a Dreamer. I am vocal. I am Spiritual. I am Hopeful. I am fearful. I am insecure. I am a Survivor. I am Alone. I am Okay. I am Human. I am Living. I am Dying. I am scared. I am strong. I am Faithful. I am worried. I am waiting. I am kind. I am Angry. I am wordy. I am opinionated. I am Mentally Ill. I am stable. I am Unsure, I am needy. I am Non-Existent. I am Here. I am Confused. I am Aging. I am Smart. I am Open. I am Willing. I am addicted. I am Flourishing. I am father-less I am childless I am uncle-less I am lover-less I am marriage-less I am mother-less I am conflicted I am letting go I am detached I am sexless I am desire-less I am lustful I am trustful I am frozen I am thawing I am beyond I am jaded I am stillness I am breathless I am hyper-sensitive I am in tune I am gifted I am proud I am judgmental I am aware I Am that I Am. Although each sentence in this poem is fairly simple, the gathering of each word all leads up to the last, powerful line "I Am that I Am." The way the poem itself is shaped on the page made me think of a person, and how each word helps shape the person, just like every bit of our personality helps shape who we are.
