I am, I will be

I am

"Impudent" and "bunglesome"

to bad nobody

knows

what

that

means.

I am

in "Solitary confinement"

at this lunch table

nobody

knows

how that

feels.

I am

a "genius"

my mother says

as I read War and Peace

for the third time

with

nobody

to talk

too.

I am

"Imagining" "dreaming"

of being

"the girl"

not

"the smart girl."

I am

"The neuroscientist"

people clap

for

me

and say

"what a smart girl"

they line up

to talk to

me

and they say

"What vigor your auditory utterance holds."

I am

"Content"

with being

"the smart girl."

Or I will be

"someday."
