I am a Knot

I am a Knot;

a clever craft of captivating contortions

a tricky tie with tangled tenacity

a loose loop of love

My working end is complex;

created by curiosity

and fueled by optimism

I hold together

the hardships of a past;

dangling strings of misery

I may be a Knot

But I am Not;

captive by my abuser,

tricked by tangled lies,

lashing out at love

I am a Knot

and

I will Not
