I Am the Lonely Steps
I am the nightmare,
I am a dream:
I am so simple,
I am more than I seem
I am stronger
Than you will ever be:
I am weaker,
Than I will let you ever see
I am my freedom,
I am my suppression:
I am the happiness,
I am the depression
I am the heat of the moment,
Yelling as loud as I may:
I am the deafening silence,
When there’s nothing left to say
I am a perfect picture,
I am a beautiful sonnet:
I am a sincere two face,
I am brutally honest
I am the change in the world,
We all hope so desperately for:
I am the beauty of peace,
Right before the monster that is war
I am a cannon ball,
I am a swan dive:
I am a car wreck,
I am a Sunday drive
I am a beloved voice,
Crying through the phone:
I am the lonely steps,
As you walk home alone
