I AM A LONER

I Am A Loner.....

I am a loner,

Or is it that I am here

All on my lonesome,

Feeling isolated as can be,

On coming into the place;

Of which they call

God’s abode,

I’ve done it faithfully

For many, many years,

Yet for me as a person

I feel that I’m a total stranger,

To this church going mob.

I’ve been coming here,

Since a day

Way back to nineteen ninety-three,

I believe with all my heart,

I am of great faith

With all my tithes and offerings,

Yet!

Inside these walls,

Where my fellow church goers gather,

I am a loner.

Have felt this way forever,

And consequently,

There for me is this real fear,

That my feelings,

Won’t ever get a better,

As lonely thoughts intrude;

And my journey gets waylaid,

To what the plan of God

Has really in-store for me.

Have never been asked;

Or is it that I’ve been allowed

To show,

Up there on the stage,

'bout what I am worth,

With the talents

And the gifting’s,

That I do enjoy,

But for now;

I feel my only challenge,

Is to give my church away…...
