I am a machine

Oil drips down, down

My quivering lips

Eyes shift in an awkward silence

A breath arrives

Pushing my gears

My wiring working once more

Arms reach out

Hands grabbing at the air

My movements robotic-

Malfunctions Cease

Now may I do as I was created to do

Speak

A machine of speech and acting
