i am a man

I am a man, a strong black man Living on the rough streets of Chicago, I could've ran I've been face with many odds Between the gangs and the jobs I kept faith because I knew I can I'm very confident and funny My aura is bright and sunny I'm the nicest person you'll ever meet My life has never missed a beat I work hard so in the end I can boast about having the money My future is bright and bold I'll go from having silver and copper to owning gold I'll have the job of my dreams I started from the bottom and I was able to redeem Then I can tell my story to kids when I'm old

I feel this poem describes me as a person and how how I became the man I am today
