I am straight but my best friend is not,

I am accepted by society but my best friend is not,

I am outgoing but he is not,

I am what my parents want me to be but he is not,

But, all that he is, I am not.

He is creative and I am not,

He is happy and content with the life he lives, I am not,

He will transform the perspective of society, and I will not.

Yet, he is he and I am me,

there is no other way to be.

Gay or straight, there is greatness within us all,

No hate, Just love,

Our strength grows tall.

I tell him just be yourself as I be me,

The rest will follow positively.
