I Am Me

Who am I?

I’m not myself.

I’m anyone but myself.

I live in a fantasy

far away from reality

making myself a mystery

just to hide my misery

and fake my confidence.

I built a strong wall that would never be broken

I am hurting but no one can even notice.

I’ll never show where I have failed

by always saying that I’m okay.

I get a little tangled in my mind

and every now and then,

I’m right up on the edge

dangling myself over the ledge,

and sometimes it takes me falling

to remind myself

that the bad memories

are made to look forward to the good days.
