I am me
To my dreaded insecurities,
Oh how I hate you,
I hate that you control me
I hate that you devour me
And even more I hate how you won’t leave me
I used to be scared of everything you said
I used to let you tell me what to do, think, and say
I used to let you ruin me
Now I feel more free than ever,
Now I feel more confident than ever,
How I feel more me than ever
But you are still there
Watching
Looking
Waiting
But I’m done with you
I’m done allowing you to be my parasite
I’m done permitting you to steer my reins
I’m done, I’m free, I’m finally me.
