I Am Me

Who am I, you ask? 

I am a 19 year old, better known as a millennial 

A millennial just like the rest

As my life progresses technology becomes excessive 

My laptop is what I live off of, 

it is my newspaper, my notebook, my entertainment, my go to

Technology makes communication easy and fast 

But as the old folks would say, you millennials are too dependent on a screen

But I am not, 

I am me

Who am, I you ask?

I am a female

I wear my lap scarf to show I am lady- like

When ready I can bring a new life onto this world

I can do anything a guy can do, maybe even better 

Being a working woman means that things in the workforce won't be fair and I will have to work 10 times as hard to be seen as equal to the male 

Some may look at women as difficult

But I am not

I am me 

Who am I, you ask? 

I am a nondenominational Christian 

I do not contain myself as a specific denomination of Christianity, such as Catholicism or Pentecostal

Morning and night I read a scripture from my bible and pray

I love that I can express my morals and beliefs through my religion, even though I, as a Christian, maybe looked as a hypocrite or even judgmental 

But I am not that

I am me 

Who am I, you ask?

I am New Jerseyan 

I wear my jersey girl shirt with pride

Yes New Jersey has its many problems I wouldn't want to be from anywhere else 

I love the idea of not having to get out of the car when pumping gas

No we are not lazy, we are just creating more jobs

People from out of state swear they know everything about Jersey from watching one episode of Jersey Shore

But when people get to know me they say how come you don't have an accent, oh you're not loud and rude

Well that's because

I am me
