I Am Me

You don't control me I have the reins on my future I'm allowed to be happy It's not just a feature Don't tell me how I need to be I get to chose who I am I will eventually be free After all these senseless exams I've found my name You can't change it I won't be shamed Or hide under a blanket I am me And I will stand tall without fright Your words might be deadly But mine are bright.
