I am more than a color
Finally someone agrees!
Who cares if I am the color of bark on trees.
Whether it's an ashy gray white,
Or a Color as black as night.
I WILL FIGHT!
Until you realize
that I am more than just a color.
That my hair is not 'nappy'
That my people are still not free!
All the judgements you pass down to me
How will we ever be free?
Until you realize that
I am more than just a color.
