I Am My Token

I am flawed

I am broken

Who knows this?

One look in my eyes and you can figure this

I give this token

One which is my heart

My eyes hold more than my soul

They are daggers and full of the night in which I feel

I am strong

My token makes me so

It makes me even when I don't trust that it does

It gets me through death

It allows me to trust even when the gusts of wind people blow at me knock mw down

My token makes me believe

I am optimistic

More so than some people prefer

My token lets me even when I have every reason I shouldn't be

It lets me see the good in everyone

And lets me feel every victory and downfall oh so deeply

This is a blessing and a curse

Yet I am thankful

It is better to feel everything rather than nothing
