I am not alone

It is dark

Like a crow’s wing

Thick

Like despair

There is no one

Like the world died

Empty

Like a pot

Pain is stretched

Like a rubber band

Resonating

Like screams

I am alone

Like a widow

Silent

Like death

Then I hear it

Like church bells

Pleasant

Like flowers

There is a voice

Like a whisper

Gentle

Like rain

It is calling

Like a robin

Sweetly

Like chocolate

There is light

Like a candle

Growing

Like carrots

I am not alone

Like a family

Gathered

Like happiness
