I am not certain
I Am Not Certain
I am not certain
Why life is who it is
Nor what gave it the right
To decide which way to turn lives.
I am not certain
Why death is who it is
Nor what gave it the right
To take precious lives.
I am not certain
Why love is who it is
Nor what gave it the right
To steer emotions for broken hearts.
I am not certain
Why hope is who it is
Nor what gave it the right
To light fading lamps.
I am not certain
Why faith is who it is
Nor what gave it the right
To crush all that upholds life.
I am not certain
Why everything is who it is
Nor what gave it the right
To tear the floor below us.
I am certain
Why trust is who it is
And what gave it the right
To establish hope, love, and faith.
