I am not my past

               I am not my past

I am not my past

                Neither am I my mistakes.

I am not the scars on my arms,

Or the mascara stains on my pillow.

I am not the late night calls to my therapist

                Neither am I my breakdowns

I am loved

                And cherished

I am my future

                And my happiness

I am healing

          and proof it gets better.
