I Am Not Myself

Gay.

Respectable.

Intelligent.

Deviant.

I'm all of these things

And none of them.

My identity is contradictory.

Exsistence, a paradox.

Wandering and lost

In the present, yet

I know where I'm going.

Do people know?

Can they read me?

It seems unlikely.

The perfect performance of a balancing act

Between I and myself.

We are very different people

And that all depends on who watches.
