I am not a poet

Let me be blunt,

let me be honest,

I am not a poet,

but I want to pursue college.

I have dreams & aspirations

many of us do.

That's my reason for writing this poem,

because I don't have a clue.

How I'll earn the money to enroll in college

My time is running out,

I'm stressed out,

I'm starting to feel broken.

I'm in suspense wondering if I'll make it or not.

But my mind tells me to stay strong and hold on

That's all I've got.
