I am the Ocean
I am the ocean,
deep in thought.
My waves roll to the shore.
No ship can defeat me.
The path of silver moons guides my wake,
the froth of ancient waters.
I am mirror to the sun and stars,
guiding ships in my embrace
and to their doom.
Across the orb of time I roam,
my tides traverse eternity.
There in the shallows,
mirrored to the tune of gulls and broken sea shells,
I see your face.
I am the ocean, tuned to the sounds and textures
of whales and barnacles,
seaweed on the bodies of sunken treasure in my belly.
There beneath a trillion setting suns I churn and roll.
I am Alpha and Omega.
I am the ocean.
