I am O.C.W.A.B
I am Old
I really do Old and I don’t know why. Even though I am only a whopping seventeen years of age, I have always felt older than I am. I have understood things that I shouldn’t. I don’t know why this, frankly I fear I never will. I think it may be because of my maturity. Now don’t get me wrong. I can, and often will act like an utter buffoon. Easily this creates some of the best memories, but that’s not what I wish to discuss. The moments of enlightenment are where I feel old. It is the moment where my mother comes to me in tears, and no idea what to do with my brother. I know I can’t fix the problem, but at least we can talk about it. Or when I talk with a group of older man and discuss the meaning of life. I don’t know how or why I am like this but it is still apart of me.
I am Christian
In a world where religion is a dying practice this old bastard won’t give in. This stubborn bitch won’t stop following God. My religion may have come from my parents, but I have made it my own. I guess it was always there, and is innate in everyone. For me though I decided that my principles will come from my God. Everyday I am confronted with people and things that test my beliefs, but I am a Christian, so I will stand strong.
I am White
This is the twenty first century, and for some unknown reason all of these people are offended by everything. I mean the list is inconceivably long! I mean this is twenty fifteen people. We should have a bit more tolerance by now. Lets face it people say stupid shit! That does not mean that the world is falling apart and people need to riot or shoot a cop. We can solve these problem by talking and working together. Violence is not the answer. Being white many have labeled me as a racist person, but I swear to you I am no such thing. My skin color has labeled me as one just as the African American’s have been labeled as failures in the past. I am a white christian male while this does describe me, it does not define me.
I am Athlete
This defines me as much as any other listed. I am an Athlete and as hard as that is to think for me it is true. Let me explain. Until just a few years ago I was the antithesis of running. I hated anything to do with exercise, especially running. My brother changed all that. He basically told me he was done with me if I didn’t go out for track. Well three years and many miles later here I am, an Athlete. Now I love running! Other than religion is the most important thing in my life. Or at least one of the most enjoyable.
I am Bold
Like many of my generation I tend to say what needs to be said. This tends to make shyer or easily irritated people uncomfortable around me. The upside is my boldness is it attracts like minded people. Life is not always easy being a person who speaks their mind, but it is me.
