I am the one you see

Enveloped by darkness and loneliness

The one you do not know the name of

but swear you've seen her somewhere before

I am the one that clinges to the shadows

Embracing the obscure corners of the night

The one you bump into and don't even notice

So you blame your friend, thinking it was them

I am the one no one sees as she emerges 

From the cold darkness

The one who is slowly yet surely raising 

to the heavens

I am the one you always see scribling 

into her notebook

The one that strikes curiosity into you as surely 

as any dagger would

I am no one

And yet you will see me rise and take a place

beside the ever-vigilant stars above
