I am... only human

I am told

That I should be myself,

But how is that possible when I am only beginning to understand my essence.

I say,

I am an artist who paints the air with movement.

I say,

I am a studious student who works for good grades.

I say,

I am a caring sister,

like an elephant that never lets go.

I say,

all of these things and more,

but....

I am lost

In a mind of wonder and curiosity,

In a mind of confusion,

In a mind of sorrow,

In a mind only human.
