I am an opportunist

I am a...opportunist

I am an opportunist

Taking chances for a gain

living by that motive made me who I am today

Not having many opportunities

means you grasp the ones that are there

because there may not be many left

I tried to do extra with little that I have

Checking every entrance I go through

Letting the good and bad enter my life

Expressing gratitude to every person who enters my life

making sure I squeeze out each opportunity

Learning something from each inconvenient experience

Wanting to be successful

Knowing your parents didn’t go to college

Makes the motivation all the merrier

Knowing you can be the first person in your family to go to college

Understanding how hard my parents work for me

to put me in this exceptional situation

This helps me take every opportunity

I know I am grateful

Each opportunity is a chance to learn something

I have taken what I learned

I molded into who I am today.

Each lesson

Each disappointment

They all made me a better person in the end
