I am an overcomer

It has been a long year

there have been many tears

for all the worries of my future

just three tears is all it takes

for you to think there's been a mistake.

I sought for answers

all hard to find

they were from the fears

in this state of mind

as I sat on my bed and thought

I knew the fight was already fought

I had torn my ACL

as I heard the news my heart fell

My career was over

I prayed over and over

no matter how much I prayed

it felt like the prayers just stayed

they stayed in the room not reaching their destination

I said Jesus this is my situation

i blew out my knee

these words are coming straight from me

they said the ACL doesn't heal by itself

but you came up from the dead

so to you that proof is dead

the time came to get my surgery

they went into my knee and to them it was a mystery

but my God makes me an overcomer

and that's my destiny

so if a tragedy comes up in your life

he has made a sacrifice

he can help you overcome your strife

look up to him and pray

and you can have eternal life
