i am... on a path
i am... on a path
What lie before you is two long paths
One is dark and the other is bright
Not visible to our eye yet,
For us humans,
Both male and female
We are blinded
We are stunned
We are shocked
We are hurt
We are sad
We are mad
And we are happy
Blessed
Grateful and thankful
But also strong
As we age, we see
That not only have we made it all this way, but there is a long way to go.
These two long paths seem to cross each other
Bright
Dark
Bright
Dark
And then bright again.
Without the dark, you can’t see what’s bright.
Without light, you can’t see what is dark.
To have well, you must have badly.
To be happy, you must know what it’s like to be sad.
But we have an endless path
Of trying to reach goals,
Dreams,
Or things we have to do
In order to get what we desire
When being in the dark,
This gives you the eye of the light.
When being in the light,
You behold the eye of the dark.
But always keep in mind that those two paths
Will always need the dark,
As well as the light.
You’ll find your way through that black and white path of yours,
And when you do, you will see more light than ever
But always will stumble on a path or darkness
You’ll find your way out with light
