I am a person

I am a person not a ghost I am a person not a piece of toast I deserved to be recognised Not chucked on the sidelines I deserve to make a change A change that will change this world for ever. This change will change the way we think, The way we live, The way we breathe The way we see the light of day, As April turns into may. This day will be the day When we stand for who we are For we are defined by, Not whom defines us. For that will be the very day When we stand to say: “We are women And we are here to make a change.”
