I Am From Poem

I am from a house

I am from a paved street

Full of little children

Oldest is 4 years younger

I am from a bike

Takes me anywhere I want

In the city

If it has trouble

I take it to the nearest bus stop

Usually a MAX station

I am from the bullies,

The pass-it-ons,

And the fun teachers,

The Focus, Pipe down, and Be Quiet!

I’m from Apple products

Playing games

Fooling around

Listening to music

I am from music

Made by young girls

Most are not even in their teens,

Yet.

Mom doesn’t think that’s right

I am from social networks

To connect to my favorite shows’ actors,

And favorite singers.

I am part of F.T.N.D.

Who helped me get my life straight.

Beforehand

I didn’t care

About my family and my friends

And spent my life online

I am from relatives

Most died from cancer

I’m from trips to Green Valley

Visiting Oma in Arizona

Playing golf

And golf cart rides

I’m from trips to Ocean City

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Beach

Playing on the beach

The hot sand touching my feet

Until I am in the salty water

And having hot fresh donuts in the morning.

I’m from trips to an old ranch

Eatons Ranch in Wolf, WY

Visiting my Uncle and cousin

Riding horses between each meal

No Wi-fi

No data service

And no cell service

Not even roaming.
