I am powerful

I once though

everyone else needed to change:

to be more accepting,

caring,

supportive.

I was wrong.

I don't need people

to change for me.

I just need to see myself.

I am powerful.

I can be myself,

Whether or not

anybody else cares.

I am powerful,

And as long

as I remember that,

all I need is me.
