I am... Privileged

I am white and privileged

I wonder what oppresion must be like

I hear cries from all around

I see history repeat itself

I want a change

I am white and privileged

I pretend it doesn't happen in front of me

I feel disgusted and ashamed

I touch the beaten faces of my colored friends

I cry for what can I do to help?

I am white and privileged

I understand change can start with me

I say no more!

I dream for a truly equal world to live in

I try to use my advantages to better their lives

I hope one day it'll make a difference

I am white and privileged
