I Am a Queen, Flawlessly Crowned In Curls

Culture dictates hair be smooth sleek and straight,

Professional hair is not out of place.

It is hard to love your hair when it goes

Against everything seen as beautiful.

Curls and waves are exquisite works of art.

Greek gods and goddesses are seen with them.

Each curl is a different texture and shape,

I find them fascinating and gorgeous.

My hair is a joy to have in my life.

It looks better when it is left alone.

Today no one has the same hair as me.

I am unique in this world, I stand out.

It may have taken time to learn to love,

But I would not trade it for anything.
