I am reckless abandon,

I am reckless abandon,

stuttering tongue,

heart on sleeve,

woman.

Learning the art of testing the waters,

not afraid to be swept away by the tide.

Too mesmerized by the beauty in the waves

as they creep their way closer kissing the shores.

Swirling around ankles tan as the sandy beach.

Dauntless.

Too swept away by the hypnotic tug and pull to have any fear of drowning.

I am amazon warrior,

everything but dainty,

stone cold crazy,

woman.

Perfecting the tight rope walk of balance

between forgiveness and naivete.

Teetering slightly.

               One step at a time.

                           Deep breath.

                                        One foot...then the other.

                                                      A shaky exhalation.

Admire the juxtaposition,

between leg gentle as a lover's caress,

and gaze,

fierce enough to bring any man to his knees in surrender.

I refuse to spend one second with hands over chest,

in attempt to calm this typhoon heart.
