I Am... Scholarship Slam

I am.

This is all I know, I am.

Weary, betrodden and flickering

I am.

A flame, berated by the wind

Burdened by a fragile existance

A humble light,

I am.

I am fire,

Destructive, flawed and manacing.

Controlled and free

I am.

A light,

giving warmth and life

serving things greater than I,

I am, and I will be.
