I am... Scholarship Slam
From the untrained line of sight, I'm "just a 6 foot 5 black guy"
But as you delve deeper, you'll see that I'm more than what meets the eye.
I'm a teenager who on a daily basis makes my parents groan and sigh.
I'm a man who refuses to let the public see me cry.
I'm a kid who loves to make people smile.
I'm the man who is always here and will walk with you for miles.
I'm the boy who leaves the class and wants to bring a friend along.
I'm that teenager who sings outloud to every song
I'm a boy who catches an attitude when I don't get what I want
I'm a teenager who gets something new and immediately goes to Twitter to flaunt.
I'm the kid who on a daily basis dances through the halls
I'm the man who realizes that there IS a life outside of ball.
I'm the teenager who keeps my future in mind
I'm the man who refuses to allow myself to go through the day oblivious and blind.
I'm a boy who displays to the public constant signs of elation.
I'm the man who constantly fights through temptation.
The word that defines me is in the beginning of the dictionary, and that word is combination.
I'm a mix of child, teen, and man combined in such a way that there is no imitation.
I'm Me, Camari Simpson .
