I am Searching

I keep searching knowing...

I am no longer good enough to belong

No longer good enough for a mother

Who seeks for a perfect daughter while she recreates another

No longer good enough for a father

Who loves money than he loves his family

No longer good enough for a stranger

Who doesn’t even know my name but is so quick to judge

No longer good enough for my race

Who is first to break me before they can embrace me with open arms

No longer good enough for a friend

Who whispers my secrets before I can even finish my thought

I look for a deeper meaning but find myself lost

I am no longer good enough for myself

So I’ve finally given up
