I Am Searching

I am a lost soul

Pieces of me are found in the wind

Drifting through branches and windows

Skimming ocean crests

Making flowers bow

Listlessly…

I am searching

I am searching for my purpose

I am searching for my home

I am searching

Sometimes a cloud of grey follows me

Pearls of rain pour

Dense, dark, doom descends

Other times the skies are clear

 The air is still

Sunlight peaks through

Peace and clarity settles

I am searching

I am searching for a friend

I am searching for hope

I am searching

I am finite

I am infinite

I am always present but rarely seen

I am searching
